New Haven Auctions  - Fred Giampietro is pleased to announce our two-day Spring sale, April 10 and 11,  beginning at 10am each day. April 10 will feature the eclectic collection of Bob Foley. Included in the Foley collection will be an important group of over 40 folk art gameboards. A monumental Howard banner weathervane, large untouched Bellamy eagle plaque, painted tavern sign, trade signs, carvings, painted furniture and accessories. April 10 will also present the comprehensive estate of the late Nancy Sevatson. The estate includes an important collection of early rag dolls, painted boxes and accessories, folk art portraits by Prior, Hartwell and others. Early textiles, weathervanes including a flying horse, ewe, American flag and more. Painted furniture includes Windsor chairs, hutch table, step back cupboard, candlestands, tavern tables and much more.

April 11 will feature Americana from estates and collections as well as a fine group of garden antiques. Included in the sale will be an important portrait of a mother and child on panel, ex Don Walters,  fine southern paint-decorated dower chest, southern dropleaf table, collection of Amish and early quilts, some with David Pottinger provenance. Fine formal Boston breakfront, weathervanes, Indian trade figure, early stone lion, folk art sculpture, important carved stone folk art figure of a man and dog, mourning jewelry, Nantucket baskets, decoys, early furniture and accessories and much more.
